Cascadia Coastal Beach Sprints
Our volunteers are the foundation of the regattas and we count them as our friends – new and old.
There are lots of positions to choose from at each event:
Finish Line Team; Stake Boat Holding at the Start Line
Chase/Umpire Boat Driving; Safety Boats
Crew Check-in; Ramp & Dock Control
Set Up and Take Down Team
Parking
If you hold a PCOC (or the US equivalent issued by US Coast Guard) – you are a hot commodity and we definitely want to hear from you.
Of course, it’s all about the racing, BUT if you can spare some time between your races and experience the regatta from a different perspective, drop us a note and we will find a spot and time that doesn’t interfere with your races.
There are two ways to register:
If you are unsure of where you would best fit in or have any questions, just drop a line to Veronika at volunteers@cascadiaregatta.ca
OR just click on the respective VOLUNTEER sign-up button at the top of this page – from there you can choose when and where you want to help.
As a thank you for your time, all volunteers will receive a highly collectible Crew t-shirt and snacks for your shift. …. Oh, wait there’s more – we will pay a stipend of $5/hour to your club or a favourite organization (you’d be surprised how quickly pennies add up!), and volunteers who help out for four or more hours will receive a lunch voucher.
Good for you, good for your club – good for rowing!
Thanks for your help – we absolutely cannot do this without you!
Link will be added closer to regatta date
We would like to recognize our privilege in being able to live and play on lands and waters that are the traditional home and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations - hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh sníchim speaking peoples.
It is largely due to their grace and continued generosity that we are able to prosper and enjoy our lives to the fullest in these beautiful environments. We accept the responsibility to protect them and their resources, respecting the ancestral traditions of the people who have nurtured and preserved these environments for millennia.
